1. Ensuring the journal is published regularly, i.e., three times a year in September, January, and May.
2. Formulating a code of ethics for editors, peer reviewers, and authors.
3. Determining the editorial board
4. Ensuring the sustainability of journal publication
5. Explaining the relationships and duties of editors, peer reviewers, and authors.
Editor's Duties
The editor at JKP: Jurnal Khasanah Pendidikan plays a crucial role in maintaining the journal's quality before and after peer review. In general, the editor's primary duties include:
1. The editor maintains independence in ensuring that manuscripts received for review are free from subjectivity.
2. The editor does not use data contained in the author's manuscript for personal consideration without the author's permission.
3. The editor maintains the authenticity of the manuscript through a predetermined process.
4. The editor ensures that the quality of the manuscript is maintained, in terms of writing style and format.
5. Encourages authors to make improvements (if any), until the manuscript is suitable for publication.
6. The editor is obliged to maintain the confidentiality of information contained in the manuscript submitted by the author.
Reviewer Duties
1. Review the manuscript to determine its suitability for publication, taking into account relevant citations, data sources used, scientific style, including data collection methods, author legality, conclusions, and other relevant information.
2. Encourage authors to make improvements (if any) until the manuscript is suitable for publication.
3. Do not disseminate corrections, criticisms, suggestions, or recommendations to authors.
4. Conduct objective manuscript reviews, which means providing constructive feedback.
5. Do not review manuscripts that involve themselves, either directly or indirectly.
6. Submit manuscript review results to the editor as a basis for determining whether a manuscript is suitable for publication.
Author's Duties
1. Authors submit manuscripts that comply with the provisions established by Compass: Journal of Education and Counselling.
2. Authors submit original manuscripts, meaning they are free from plagiarism in all aspects.
3. Authors are not permitted to submit manuscripts that have been or will be published in other journals.
4. State the limitations of the research.
5. Notify the editor if the author wishes to withdraw the manuscript before the manuscript enters the review stage.
6. Authors ensure that the research conducted complies with the author's code of ethics.
